Bailadores de Bronce

For two months I had the opportunity to spend time with the Seattle-based Mexican folk dance group Bailadores de Bronce. It is comprised of dedicated volunteers who put in many hours of practice to achieve their impressive level of skill. Besides their core instructors, they also welcome other professional dancers to teach dances which are specific to certain parts of Mexico. As a result, their repertoire is wide-ranging. The practice sessions are rigorous and everyone is focused on creating polished performances. There is a strong sense of community and many of the dancers have been with the group for a number of years.
